美麗島事件政治受難者、三屆立法委員、前農委會副主委戴振耀，在與胰臟癌搏鬥了一年多後，今（19）日凌晨零時2分蒙主寵召，病逝於故鄉高雄，享年69歲，戴振耀的兒子戴乃聖隨後並證實了這個消息。

民進黨秘書長洪耀福表示，感激戴振耀一生對台灣民主和農民及民進黨的貢獻，民進黨會全力協助家屬處理後事。

高雄市長陳菊並在臉書發文悼念，她表示，「我的兄弟耀伯-戴振耀，今晚徘徊在生死的關頭。我趕到醫院，耀伯的家人及醫師都在，也都同意讓耀伯回到橋頭家中，走完人生最後一哩路」。

「滿心不忍看到他的痛，人生的最後，真的是千古艱難」。

「握著耀伯的手，我心中充滿不捨。耀伯前陣子受洗，我祈禱耀伯可以榮歸天家，回到公義的主身邊」。

「耀伯，希望您能夠放下，不要有牽掛，要好走」。

戴振耀，高雄橋頭人，1948年生，31歲那年因為參加了美麗島事件而成為政治犯，判刑3年。出獄後參與農民運動，為1986年9月民進黨創黨黨員、高雄縣黨部第一號黨員、第一屆全國黨代表、11月當選第一屆中執委。第3屆中央評議委員，在黨內派系屬性上為新潮流系成員。

1988年後，戴振耀為高雄縣農權會首任副會長，後與獨派另外成立台灣農權總會。他並於1989、1992、1998擔任三屆立委。2000年首次政黨輪替，兩年後出任農委會副主委，積極為農民發聲。

在政治、農運和親友口中暱稱「耀伯」的戴振耀，一生為獨立建國大業而奮鬥。2008年二次政黨輪替後，他回到高雄務農，經營耀伯農場，並把同派系的前國安會秘書長邱義仁找去一起作伴。

近年戴振耀飽受胰臟癌所苦，但仍關心時政。包括行政院長賴清德、高雄市長陳菊、前行政院長蘇貞昌、民進黨立委立委邱議瑩等人，以及媒體界的友人，近來都陸續前往高雄探望。

今年9月27日，戴振耀獲蔡英文總統頒綬三等景星勳章，表彰他長期以來對國家農業發展的貢獻。戴振耀也抓住機會向總統建言。他還說，農田水利會會長選舉資格限制不合理，連他一輩子務農的人都不能參選。

民進黨立委邱議瑩晚間聽到厄噩耗，心裡也很難過。她表示，兩週前去探望時，「戴伯」的狀況已經非常不好。今晚得知噩耗後，感到非常難過。她並在臉書貼文說，「上天仍是毫不留情的帶走了您，留給我們的是您的笑聲與您那苦幹實幹的堅毅精神??耀伯，現在的您無病無痛了??願您一路好走??」。
